Trump’s Tuesday Morning Tweet Proves He Is Completely Out Of Touch With Reality

Early Tuesday morning, around the same time many of us in the Eastern time zone were just waking up, Donald Trump was once again denying he knows Russian tyrant and mass murderer Vladimir Putin, posting this on Twitter:

This is in stark contrast to what the illegitimate president said in 2014 while speaking at the National Press Club:

“I was in Russia, I was in Moscow recently and I spoke, indirectly and directly, with President Putin, who could not have been nicer, and we had a tremendous success.”

And in 2015, Trump told right-wing radio host Michael Savage that he and Putin met “one time…a long time ago,” and he added:

“[I] got along with him great.”

Here’s what this tells us without any question, no matter what Trump or his paid liars–Conway, Spicer, et al.–say: Either Trump was lying in 2014 and 2015 or he’s lying now. No matter how you slice it, he’s lying, and that’s what pathological liars do. It’s the only thing they know how to do.

Now let’s take a moment to deconstruct Trump’s tweet:

  • “I don’t know Putin.” Then why did you say you do know him? Which lie are you admitting to?
  • “Have no deals in Russia.” All you have to do is release your taxes and other financial disclosure forms and we can determine if this is the least bit true.
  • “The haters are going crazy.” Careful where you lob that rock while you’re living in your own little glass house, Donnie.
  • “Yet Obama can make a deal with Iran.” Yes, President Obama, along with five other countries, did indeed make a deal to help assure the Iranians don’t acquire a nuclear weapon. But you’d rather start a war with Iran because that’s what your mentally disturbed chief advisers–Bannon, Flynn, and Pence–are pushing for.

Is there any doubt remaining that Donald Trump is emotionally unfit to serve as Commander-in-Chief? The time has come to begin impeachment proceedings against this unhinged monster.
