Republican Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie is slamming the implementation of President Trump’s travel ban. And instead of blaming the guy in charge of the entire executive branch (Trump himself) he’s blaming everyone else. Christie said to reporters:
“The rollout of this executive order was terrible… The right people were not involved or consulted. There was confusion in the enforcement that went on here.”
No duh.
If you followed the election you’ll know that Christie was one of Trump’s most fervent supporters, publicly campaigning for future President Snowflake during the primaries and the election. Curiously, he was then shoved aside from Trump’s transition team when loyalty was usually rewarded with job offers.
According to Christie, the political, legal, and media hurricane that the so-called “Muslim ban” has brought with it appears to be the fault of Trump’s staff and not with Trump himself:
“The President deserves much better than the rollout that he got of this plan… A lot of the mistakes were made and those mistakes are unacceptable…
He even found some time to criticize the Democrat’s reaction the debacle. He went on to say:
“Mistakes were made and people need to stand up who made those mistakes of implementation. But also lets not be taking complete advantage of the situation for political gain as well… I think that just makes the situation worse and doesn’t make our country safer and that should be the goal.”
Poor Donald. Signing a possibly unconstitutional executive order as the President of the United States and then all his lackeys messed it up. He didn’t hire those people after all, and he’s not in charge of the executive branch.
Oh wait, he did. And he is.
Christie even vocally disagreed with Trump about a Muslim ban, and now when push comes to shove he’s backtracking. Just like all the good little Republican soldiers, he’s falling into line and saying all the “right” things. Donald’s the boss now, Chris. The boss should be in charge of and accountable for the actions of his office and his staff.
But apparently, not dear President Snowflake.
