Anti-Obamacare Congressman: No More Town Halls Cuz ‘The Women Are In My Grill’

Congressman Dave Brat (R-VA) has openly voiced his dislike for both the Obama Administration and the Affordable Care Act over the years. He has, time and time again, presented sub-standard alternatives to the ACA in an attempt to fuel his party’s own interest.

In a time where we look to our state representatives for support, Brat turns his nose away from his constituents, repeatedly ignoring their plea for solid and stable healthcare. It is also apparent that Brat has zero respect for the women he is supposed to be representing and is now refusing any more town meetings, stating:

“Since Obamacare and these issues have come up, the women are in my grill no matter where I go.”

His constituents, however, are not backing down and even have a Facebook group solely dedicated to asking the question of when he will hold his next town meeting. The group states:

“Funny how he has time for fundraisers and Facebook but cannot answer one simple question — when is the next Town Hall meeting?”

Following our current President Donald J. Trump’s constant lies about anyone who disagrees with him, Brat chalks the defiance up to paid activists and not actual concerned members of society. Brat stated:

“I had one woman on my Facebook say she was going to get up in my grill. There’s paid protesters…paid activists on the far left, not my Democratic friends I go to church with. They’re being paid to go around and raise havoc.”

Despite the constant push for their voices to be heard, Virginians are just going to have to wait to discuss the importance of healthcare, and probably after it is too late. Brat has decided he will not hold any town hall meetings until after Trump’s 100 day agenda has been completely put into place, leaving these constituents without a voice.
