Trump Doubles Down On Muslim Ban And Hands ISIS Recruiting Tool (TWEETS)

“I never apologize because I’m never wrong” — Donald Trump

President Donald Trump is not apologizing. Rather than trying to make amends for his terrible execution of the Muslim Ban, Trump doubles down with tweets that defend the reasoning behind the ban.

The Muslim Ban has been met with widespread global backlash from world leaders to tech executives. Even Pope Francis has condemned the act, saying:

“You cannot reject refugees and call yourself a Christian.”

There have been protests, a class action lawsuit, and a temporary federal injunction filed by the ACLU.

Will Trump rescind the order? Doubtful. Admitting that he was wrong would be totally out of character, a move that is not likely to happen voluntarily.

Amid all of this chaos, Trump believes “it’s working out very nicely.”

The Muslim Ban Does Not Keep America Safe

Far from keeping Americans safe, the Muslim Ban will serve to galvanize terrorist groups against the United States. A loophole in the executive order provides an exemption for Christians and other “religious minorities” from the ban:

“Upon the resumption of USRAP admissions, the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of Homeland Security, is further directed to make changes, to the extent permitted by law, to prioritize refugee claims made by individuals on the basis of religious-based persecution, provided that the religion of the individual is a minority religion in the individual’s country of nationality. Where necessary and appropriate, the Secretaries of State and Homeland Security shall recommend legislation to the President that would assist with such prioritization.

The Muslim Ban is not about keeping America safe – it’s really about keeping Muslims out. Trump has just handed ISIS their best recruiting tool to date.
