Big Mouthed Giuliani Brags That Of Course It’s A Muslim Ban (VIDEO)

Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York, used to be really close buddies.

Like, super close. As in, if Rudy thought it was a good idea, Donnie jumped all over it.

Of course, the ever shifting alliances of President Trump are hard to predict. All a person has to do is say something flattering, and Trump trusts that person with the keys to the kingdom.

You know, like Vladimir Putin. Trump loves the man because “he said nice things about me.”

That’s how it was with Trump and Giuliani, too. For a while there, before and on through the election, Rudy and Donnie were besties. Giuliani loved to brag about how much influence he had over Trump.

So now that the new President has signed the internationally despised Executive Order on stopping the arrival of refugees from seven countries, Giuliani wants to tell us all how he helped to craft the document.

According to the Huffington Post the day after the offensive order went into effect, Giuliani told Fox News that he had advised his old buddy on the best way to enact a Muslim ban without violating any federal laws. He said:

“When he first announced it, he said ‘Muslim ban.’ He called me up and said, ‘Put a commission together, show me the right way to do it legally.’”

The former mayor said that he did put together that group, and he did in fact meet with a group of Republican lawyers who helped him to craft the right approach.

Essentially what they did was to focus more on “danger” posed by various countries, rather than specifically saying that the danger came from the fact that the population was mostly Muslim.

With a perfectly straight face, Giuliani said this:

“The areas of the world that create danger for us, which is a factual basis, not a religious basis ― perfectly legal, perfectly sensible, and that’s what the ban is based on. It’s not based on religion. It’s based on places where there are substantial evidence that people are sending terrorists into our country.”

Of course, he’s completely full of bull doody in this particular statement. Talking about how many Americans had been killed by people from the targeted countries in the past 40 years, Fareed Zakaria of CNN put it this way:

“Iraq – zero, Iran -zero, Syria – zero, Yemen – zero, Libya – zero, Somalia – zero, Sudan — zero.”

There is no rational basis for banning desperate refugees from the targeted countries.

No basis other than the ever bombastic Donald Trump wanting to fulfill his campaign promise to enact a ban on Muslims.

Rudy Giuliani may have fallen out of favor with the big boss, but he’s still too egocentric to miss a chance to brag about his influence on the White House.

He was asked to create a Muslim ban, and so he did.

No matter what Trump and his minions want to call it, we all know that that is exactly what we now have in place.

Listen to the big mouth in the video below.
