You have to love Ana Navarro. To me, she’s a real American hero.
Navarro is a Nicaraguan born woman who has been a lifelong Republican. She is smart, articulate and passionate. When her party nominated a lying fool, she spoke up about it.
The CNN strategist and political contributor has a law degree and knows what she is talking about when it comes to things like ethical issues and conflicts of interest. Most of her statements, both on television and on social media, are sophisticated and well crafted.
But the fiery Latina can also get down and dirty when she’s p*ssed off and Donald Trump has been giving her ample opportunity to do just that.
Navarro has gone after Trump since he stepped into the political arena at the start of the election cycle. Her latest smackdown of the President came in a Tweet.

The best part of the tweet is that Navarro sent it out just hours after the inauguration, before Trump and his people trotted out their “alternative facts.” Having watched the Trump team in action for the past year, she was ready for them to start bragging about the huge numbers of people who attended their event.
Sure enough, the President himself told a group of CIA officials that the crowd looked to him to be close to 1.5 million people. That would have put his crowd size at almost the record setting numbers who watched Barack Obama’s first inauguration in 2009. That year the estimated number was 1.8 million people in attendance.
And then Trump’s official raging spokesman, Sean Spicer, was trotted out before the press to announce that:
“This was the largest audience to witness an inauguration, period!”
Except no it wasn’t.
Ana Navarro knew this would happen. She knew they were gonna make crap up so she sent in her preemptive strike.
It’s both hilarious and embarrassing to see our new President squirming and whining every time he thinks his is smaller than the other guy’s. Whether it’s hand size or crowd size, we all know what he’s really worried about.
How pathetic.
