Artist Behind ‘Naked Trump’ Created A New Piece Of Protest Art – Made Entirely Out Of Blood (VIDEO)

Illma Gore is an artist known for a “naked Trump” painting which features President-elect Donald Trump naked with a micro penis. She has a new protest piece just in time for Donald Trump’s Inauguration.

Now, she has another protest painting made with human blood. It is a version of the famous painting of Revolutionary women sewing the first American flag.

This is the original painting:

Here is Gore standing in front of her own version:

She used donated blood, including her own, to create this mural protesting our next President Donald Trump. The mural is called, “Rise Up Thy Young Blood,” and Gore said this about working with the blood:

“Blood is similar to watercolors. It smells a little weird. It’s very metallic like iron.”

She collaborated with the Los Angeles artist collective, INDECLINE, on this mural. Some of her fellow artists donated their own blood, and Gore also used some of hers.

Also, she changed the subjects of the original painting to diversify them a bit. She included a Black man, a Native American woman, and others.

A representative from INDECLINE said:

“This piece is about cultural cohesion and unity and broadening the conversation with each other. On the one hand, we want to make sure that we’re shadowing him, providing checks and balances that the government is not. But we don’t want to be polarizing because that’s exactly what he is.”

This artist also created the famous “Naked Trump,” which shows Trump with a micropenis. Unfortunately, she was assaulted by Trump supporters when that happened back in May.

She said this about that incident:

“Today I was punched in the face by a man who got out of his car and yelled, ‘Trump 2016!’ in Los Angeles, just days after I returned home from London just down the road from my house. Though I encourage passion, opinion and emotion, especially through art, I think violence is disgusting.”

Hopefully, we can keep our freedom of expression during the incoming administration.
