Fans Act Like 3 Doors Down Playing Trump Inauguration Is ‘Kryptonite’ (TWEETS)

As Donald Trump’s inauguration nears, he has finally been able to assemble a line of entertainers to perform for him, with 3 Doors Down being part of that assembly. Formed in Mississippi, 3 Doors Down is best known for their 2000 hit “Kryptonite.”

The group has had lukewarm popularity since their hit, releasing five more studio albums. Their most recent album, Us and the Night, was able to secure number 14 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

The Internet Has A Good Time Announcing Their Inauguration Performance

President Barack Obama has been able to secure talented celebrities to attend his farewell party, while President-elect Trump is forced to settle with a band from Mississippi who was only relevant in the early 2000’s.

Regardless of what you think of 3 Doors Down, the group has one or two devoted fans, with the band’s Twitter page amassing more than 243,000 followers. A Twitter account named “Doorsy” is a dedicated fan, but, has said that they were disappointed in the band’s decision to play at Trump’s inauguration.

Going by the handle @3doorsfan, Doorsy’s only reaction when Newsweek spoke with her was “ugh.” Although she has concert tickets for an upcoming Florida show, she isn’t sure if she will attend now and is even considering changing her Twitter handle.

Other Performers Approached To Play The Inauguration

There has been speculation that Sir Elton John was asked to perform at the inauguration, with the committee even saying that this would be the first president in history that will enter the White House with a “pro-gay rights stance.”

Elton John denied the invitation, denounced the Republican Party, and even recommended country stars to perform at Trump’s inauguration. Several other A-list celebrities were also invited including Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, and Justin Timberlake.

They publicly endorsed Trump’s opponent, former Secretary of State,d Hillary Clinton, at one point or other, making it very unlikely that top talent will perform at his inauguration.

For now, he has 3 Doors Down to cheer him on. Here’s their ‘Kryptonite’ video:
