Obama Daughters Get Excellent Advice And Perspective From An Unlikely Source (VIDEO)

The twin daughters of President George W. Bush, Barbara Bush and Jenna Bush Hager, wrote a nice letter for Sasha and Malia Obama.

The letter starts with mentioning the first day the Obama girls came to the White House eight years ago. They fondly recall meeting them at the front of the house and showing them around. The letter points out some of the things the Obama girls have done as First Children, and then it says:

“Now you are about to join another rarified [sic] club, one of former First Children—a position you didn’t seek and one with no guidelines. But you have so much to look forward to. You will be writing the story of your lives, beyond the shadow of your famous parents, yet you will always carry with you the experiences of the past eight years.”

They reminded Sasha and Malia to remember and appreciate everyone on the White House staff who has helped them over the last eight years. The Obama girls have a lot of opportunities, and they will hopefully enjoy college. The Bush girls recalled visiting the White House when their grandfather was president and moving into the White House when their father became president.

It ended:

“You have lived through the unbelievable pressure of the White House. You have listened to harsh criticism of your parents by people who had never even met them. You stood by as your precious parents were reduced to headlines. Your parents, who put you first and who not only showed you but gave you the world. As always, they will be rooting for you as you begin your next chapter. And so will we.”

Sasha and Malia Obama will do great things. Hopefully, they will enjoy college and have happy lives as former First Children. This was a beautiful letter from the Bush twins.
