President-elect Donald Trump held his first “press conference” since the election today, and he gave the stage to attorney Sheri Dillon for a good portion of it. Ms. Dillon is one of Trump’s tax attorneys, and she is a partner in the Morgan Lewis law firm. A firm that received a very interesting distinction last year.

Morgan Lewis is a global law firm with interests all over the world, including a large office in Moscow.

Seriously, folks – you can’t make this shit up.
Chambers and Partners, the firm that hands out these awards, says this about the awards themselves:
“These awards honour the work of national and international law firms across Europe on the basis of research for the upcoming edition of Chambers Europe. They recognise a law firm’s pre-eminence in key countries in the region.”
The entire “press conference” (and yes, the quotes are intentional, as it was more of a public stage for his lawyer and an extravaganza of utter BS) was an exercise in fighting off questions from reporters who want to know more about the intelligence report that suggests Russia has blackmail information on Trump.
Of course, giving the stage to Dillon for such a long period of time seemed like Trump’s way of saying he’s not going to answer those questions (he didn’t) before getting into a shouting match with CNN’s Jim Acosta (WTF?!).
I think we can expect to see a lot more of Sheri Dillon in the coming weeks and months, as Trump attempts to weasel his way out of doing the right thing and actually divesting himself from his business interests. And he has a law firm beloved by Russia helping him do the weaseling for him.
Shocker.
