GOP Rep. Says Sessions Grilling Part Of ‘War On Whites’ (VIDEO)

A Republican Congressman from Alabama is very peeved about his fellow Alabaman’s grilling on Capitol Hill. He’s so mad that he is accusing Democrats of waging a “war against whites.”

Uh, what?

That’s right. Representative Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) made an appearance on a local radio show to bemoan the fate of poor White people everywhere. Brooks said:

“It’s really about political power and racial division and what I’ve referred to on occasion as the ‘war on whites.’ They are trying to motivate the African-American vote to vote-bloc for Democrats by using every ‘Republican is a racist’ tool that they can envision…”

According to Brooks, asking Sessions (President-elect Trump’s pick for Attorney General) about possible racist words from his past is waging a war against an entire skin color. Sessions faces a long confirmation battle due to comments he made about the NAACP and ACLU, over which he was ultimately denied a federal judgeship in 1986.

It appears that Brooks has some personal skin in the game, as well. According to CNN, he would be a possible replacement for Sessions in the Senate, should he be confirmed. The Governor of Alabama, Robert Bentley, has the Constitutional power to name Sessions’ replacement in that event. That was something that did not come up in the interview, though. Brooks piling accusations on the Democrats did:

“Well, to get right down to it, it’s all about political power, and the Democrats are not shy about lying in order to achieve their political goals… And if they have to besmirch the reputation of a good man, Jeff Sessions, in order to achieve their political goals, they as a group are not hesitant to do so.”

To be fair, though, Brooks has stayed on the same crazy message for years. Back in 2014 he made the same claims about this “war on whites” on another radio show. At least he is consistent in his crazy.
