WATCH: KKK Impersonators Tossed Out After Cheering Sessions On At Hearing (TWEETS)

The next attorney general was cheered on as he made his way into his confirmation hearing today… By protesters dressed as members of the Ku Klux Klan.

Republican senator Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III, of Alabama, is being met with backlash from those who are against white supremacy. He has a long history with racism and was reminded of that when a KKK impersonator, being escorted out of the building, yelled:

“What is this craziness? I’m a white man! You cannot take me out of here! I own this country! White people own this government!”

Another incident happened inside the hearing, too.

In 1986 court documents obtained by the Huffington Post, it was revealed that Sessions is quite the white supremacist. Thomas Figures was a former assistant United State attorney general. He worked alongside Sessions and was the only black man in their office. In addition to once calling him ‘boy,’ Figures claimed he also said:

“Be careful what you say to white folks.”

That was said to Figures after he told a white secretary he was offended by a comment she made. Figures passed away last year.

Of course, none of this should come as a surprise. President-elect Donald Trump himself reeks of white supremacy. Where do we start?

He was officially endorsed by the KKK and then struggled to disavow it. He singled out a black man at one of his many racist rallies, not knowing he was a supporter until after he was escorted out. There was also that time he encouraged violence against a black protester, saying:

“Maybe [the protester] should have been roughed up. It was absolutely disgusting what he was doing.”

The protester was simply holding a Black Lives Matter sign. He was, in fact, ‘roughed up.’ See for yourself.

With all of the evidence proving that Sessions supports white supremacy, he should have felt more comfortable surrounded by white men in white robes. There was that time, though, when he said he was okay with the KKK until he found out they smoked pot.

“Good people don’t smoke marijuana.”

Apparently ‘good people’ promote violence against minorities, though.

In addition to racism, Sessions is yet another man who wants to control a woman’s body. On the never-ending discussion of unwanted pregnancies, he said:

“Aren’t there other solutions to pregnancies that… Other than abortion?”

If Sessions doesn’t want to have an abortion, then he doesn’t have to have one. That’s the beauty of choice.
