Kellyanne Conway Alleges Meryl Streep Is ‘Inciting People’s Worst Instincts’

At the Golden Globe awards Sunday evening, the incomparable Meryl Streep destroyed Donald Trump without even speaking his name when she said:

“It was that moment when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter — someone he outranked in privilege, power and the capacity to fight back. It kind of broke my heart.

“When the powerful use their position to bully others, we all lose.”

Monday morning on Fox News, Trump’s whiny attack Chihuahua, Kellyanne Conway, went on Fox News and tried to make it sound as of Streep was part of some giant conspiracy against the illegitimate President-elect, commenting:

“We have to now form a government, and I’m concerned that somebody with a platform like Meryl Streep is also, I think, inciting people’s worst instincts. When she won’t get up there and say, ‘I don’t like it, but let’s try to support him and see where we can find some common ground with him, which [Trump] has actually done from moment one.”

Inciting people’s worst instincts?! Really, Kellyanne? Where might Streep have seen such a thing before? Oh, I know: She, like the rest of us, saw that kind of behavior repeatedly from Donald Trump. Let’s not forget that Trump repeatedly attempted to pit groups of people against one another as he engaged in his slash and burn blitzkrieg across the landscape of the 2016 election. He accused his opponent of having created ISIS, lied about his connections to white supremacists, and was also fond of calling members of the press the enemy.

For Kellyanne Conway or any member of the Trump team to start hurling stones at others for heated rhetoric is the equivalent of a pyromaniac criticizing someone for smoking a cigarette. What Meryl Streep said was 100 percent true, and that’s a hell of a lot more than you can say for the diarrhea that flows out of Trump’s mouth.

Here’s Conway on Fox and Friends earlier today:
