Conway Hilariously Thinks We Should Judge Trump By ‘What’s In His Heart’ (TWEET)

Incoming counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway said Monday morning on CNN’s “New Day” that we should judge President-elect Donald Trump based on “what’s in his heart” rather than “what’s come out of his mouth.”

In other words, Conway thinks we should all stop focusing on the actual words Trump is saying and instead begin to infer what he truly believes in the depths of his heart. As tantalizing and romantic as that may seem, it’s kind of hard to get past the actual things he’s been saying as they’re generally shocking and horrifying. But I’m sure in his heart he means well…

Debate Over Trump Mocking Disabled Reporter

During a debate with CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, Conway argued that Trump has been denied the benefit of the doubt that media outlets like CNN have readily handed to other politicians. Specifically, Conway felt that the press should believe the president-elect when he says that he did not mock a disabled reporter at a November 15th rally.

This incident resurfaced on Sunday Night at the Golden Globes, where Meryl Streep in her lifetime achievement award acceptance speech called it the “one performance this year that stunned me.” Trump further denied he ever mocked the reporter, saying that he was actually mimicking a “groveling” reporter.

Conway Is Out Of Touch With Reality

While arguing on CNN Monday morning, Conway said:

“You have to listen to what the president-elect has said about that. Why don’t you believe him? Why is everything taken at face value?”

She would go on to say:

“You can’t give him the benefit of the doubt on this and he’s telling you what was in his heart? You always want to go by what’s come out of his mouth rather than look at what’s in his heart.”

It’s unclear at this point whether Kellyanne Conway still exists in reality on this planet we call Earth. She seems to be floating somewhere out in space, imagining a world where any rational being believes Donald Trump to have a good heart. Maybe she’s so far away from earth that the past two years of Trump sound bites have yet to reach her. From my calculations, that would put her roughly 13.4 million miles away from the planet. God how I wish that were true.
