‘I Am Not Paying For That F****n Wall’—Vicente Fox Shreds Trump On Twitter (TWEETS)

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox and President-elect Donald Trump have a quarrelsome history. When Trump planned a visit to Mexico in the summer of 2016, Fox said:

“I’m sure he’s going to be rejected by everybody here in Mexico…We don’t like him, we don’t want him, we reject his message.”

Of course, Trump never likes to let any insult (perceived or real) go unanswered. So he tweeted this nonsensical response:

And just recently, the feud resurfaced in an amazing and hilarious fashion. In just the latest instance of Trump brazenly breaking a campaign promise, he revealed that he will not demand that Mexico pay for his ridiculous border wall. Rather, he intends to make Congress pay. He then went on to declare (via Twitter, of course) that he will make Mexico reimburse us for the cost.

That blustering tweet led to hilarious responses such as this one:

But Fox also seized on the opportunity to remind the world exactly what he thinks about the next President of the United States.

Shots Fired By Fox

When news outlets first reported that Trump would be asking Congress to pay for the wall, Fox tweeted:

But it gets better. Because as soon as Trump made his Twitter announcement saying that Mexico would pay the United States back, Fox decided to drop any pretense of decorum and respect:

For many Americans, this must have been an historic moment. Because when else have so many of us been proud to see a foreign leader curse at our next president on social media?

And the antics didn’t stop there, as Fox went on to say:

And the responses from Americans have been both amazing and hilarious. People are quite appreciative of Fox, and they’re more than willing to express their gratitude in all sorts of ways!

And others still have noted that he’s outdoing Trump on Trump’s own favorite medium.

Whether—or more accurately, when—Trump will respond with a public tantrum remains to be seen.
