President-elect Donald Trump gave a press conference on Wednesday – his first in ages – and wound up sounding like the inept, incompetent moron that he is. Despite the consensus among U.S. intelligence agencies that Russia interfered in the election (and on Trump’s behalf), the PEOTUS blames … computers.
‘The Age Of Computer’ – WTF Does That Even Mean, Trump?
Trump spoke to reporters at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, and said that people need to move on from this whole Russian hacking thing:
“I think we ought to get on with our lives. I think that computers have complicated lives very greatly. The whole age of computer has made it where nobody knows exactly what is going on. We have speed, we have a lot of other things, but I’m not sure we have the kind the security we need. But I have not spoken with the senators and I will certainly will be over a period of time.”
Actually, Trump, the intelligence agencies DO know what’s going on. You might know that if you bothered to read your daily briefing.
Both the FBI and the CIA have stated that Russia interfered with the election, and that they did so to help Trump win. Intelligence agencies have said that Putin himself was personally involved.
Of course, none of that matters in Trump’s post-fact America. And Trump is a man who thinks you can’t tell who’s doing the hacking unless you catch them in the act — a statement widely mocked by cybersecurity experts.
Also, if we’re going to start blaming the tools, rather than the people using them, I think the gun nuts might get their panties in a wad …
Trump Continues To Antagonize … Everyone
CNN has reported that President Barack Obama is prepared to issue sanctions against Russia for their meddling. And Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said:
“There will be bipartisan sanctions coming that will hit Russia hard, particularly Putin as an individual.”
Trump’s response?
“I don’t know what he’s doing. I haven’t spoken to Sen. Graham. … [A]s you know, he ran against me.”
Does he realize that he has to work with these people, even the ones who dared to run against him?
Note to Trump – grow up already. Your total lack of awareness and decorum is embarrassing at best.
