Obama Speculates On Whether He Would Have Won Against Trump And The Verdict Is… (VIDEO)

Since President-elect Donald Trump won the election, Democrats have been wondering what happened.

When asked about it in an interview, Obama said he thinks that he would’ve won the election were he eligible to run again.

He said:

“What I would argue is, is that the culture actually did shift, that the majority does buy into the notion of a one America that is tolerant and diverse and open and — and full of energy and dynamism.

And — and the problem is, it doesn’t always manifest itself in politics, right? You know, I am confident in this vision because I’m confident that if I — if I had run again and articulated it, I think I could’ve mobilized a majority of the American people to rally behind it.

I know that in conversations that I’ve had with people around the country, even some people who disagreed with me, they would say the vision, the direction that you point towards is the right one.”

When asked about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s campaign, he mentioned that she might have been a bit too cautious. We all thought she was going to win, so she may have been resting on her laurels a bit.

The economy is improving, but many people feel they are being ignored. Obama thinks that Democrats failed to appeal to these people.

Republicans successfully made Hillary Clinton out to be a corrupt politician. They even said that she was running for Obama’s third term. Republicans were definitely not happy with that concept; they love to hate Obama.

Trump had this to say about it:

Even though Clinton won the popular vote by 3 million, Trump somehow prevailed in the Electoral College. Some people were frustrated by Obama, but he was obstructed by a Republican Congress for most of his presidency.

Obama could’ve done more if he wasn’t obstructed, and I would’ve gladly voted for him for a third term.
