Israeli Leaders Direct Netanyahu’s Anti-Arab Hatred Against President Obama (VIDEO)

According to weekend reports, Israeli leaders lashed out at President Barack Obama over a vote from the United Nations (U.N.) against illegal settlements on Palestinian land. The U.S. is accused of having some involvement in creating the resolution, even when Egypt originally drafted it. But Israeli leaders are also infuriated that the U.S. abstained from the vote that helped it pass.

The resolution refers to the settlements that the Israeli government has built and expanded for decades. These are Jewish settlements deemed illegal by the U.N. because they’re seizing Palestinian land. The U.N. held a vote on Friday to declare the settlements a violation of international law.

Rather than veto the vote, the United States abstained, while 14 other nations under the Security Council voted for the resolution.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took the issue personally and launched a series attacks against President Obama. Netanyahu’s attitude towards the incumbent president shows a definite fallout in their relationship. The Prime Minister’s call for President-elect Trump to help before the vote took place, shows Benjamin Netanyahu is “done” with Obama.

Extremist Israeli Leaders Ask Incoming Extremist President-elect For Help

So far, there are reports that Netanyahu tried to get President-elect Donald Trump to stop the vote. The resolution was originally drafted by Egypt who dropped it after pressure from the incoming Trump team. According to the BBC, “it was proposed again by Malaysia, New Zealand, Senegal, and Venezuela.”

Netanyahu’s outreach to Trump indicates a sign of desperation, as he will not be inaugurated as president until January 20. Due to how unconventional the President-elect’s approach is, there’s every indication he would have something to say. Sure enough, Trump took to Twitter to express just that.

Donald Trump has campaigned on getting rid of well-established institutions, including the U.N. On Monday, he tweeted what he thought about the U.N.

Netanyahu’s office went as far as to accuse the Obama administration of colluding with Palestinians before the vote. Israeli leaders even claim that they have “ironclad” intel showing Obama’s involvement. The history of Benjamin Netanyahu and his extremist anti-Arab views show how they’ve come to this point.

Netanyahu’s Hatred For Arabs Redirected At Obama

Becoming America’s first Black president clearly came with baggage. From the beginning of Barack Hussein Obama’s presidency, racial issues have been at the forefront. His middle name, however, provided more of a target for the Jewish state, given their historical tension with Arabs.

In a Frontline special called “Netanyahu At War” the narrative of the Prime Minister’s hostility is built around Israel’s survival. The program shows how this developed from the time he was with Israeli special forces to his rise in power. According to the program, there’s every indication that Benjamin Netanyahu is an example of an extremist with government power. There’s every reason to believe that his fatalistic view of the world is what drives the prime minister’s motives today.

A clip featured in the program from an American show called The Advocates, Netanyahu markets himself as an expert in terrorism. His entire presence on the program and elsewhere is hostile as if he’s ready to attack Fouad Ajami on the program. It’s with this kind of hostility that he seems to view President Obama. Frontline confirms this when writer Marvin Kalb recalls what Netanyahu thought about Obama before winning the presidency.

“I happened to be on a reporting trip in Jerusalem. And I went into the coffee shop at the King David Hotel. There was one other person there and it was Netanyahu, sitting in a corner by himself reading newspapers. There was one thing in his mind, who is this guy Obama? Who is he? What is he really like? And he wanted very much to point out to me as if I didn’t know it, that Obama’s middle name was Hussein. And that is father was a Muslim. What kind of objectivity could this man bring, to bear, on Israel?”

Peace Hinges On Netanyahu’s Unwillingness To Work With Palestinians

When the program starts covering President Obama’s first term, it portrays the influence Jewish politicians and academics have on him. Then White House Chief of Staff  Rahm Emanuel suggested to Obama that he not allow Netanyahu to push him around. Emanuel witnessed how Netanyahu dealt with Clinton in the 90’s as he was an aide in the White House then. During their first meeting, Obama would demand that the Prime Minister freeze the building of settlements. Frontline determines that this would be the beginning of the end in the relationship between Netanyahu and Obama.

As President Obama leaves office, his effort to create a two-state solution has failed. The blame can go to Netanyahu for this as he has already frustrated many presidents. Obama’s decision to harden his stance against settlements and Netahnyahu’s anger is expected. More recent reports are that Netanyahu is cutting ties with nations under the U.N. Security Council over the resolution.

One report by the New York Times says that that there are many in Israel who are tired of the Prime Minister’s isolationism. Is says that their is a growing consensus view among Israeli leaders that Netanyahu is isolating them. Reuters is also reporting that he’s looking to drum up more support against Obama, perhaps similar to how he energized his base in the clip from the mentioned program, below.
