UPDATED: Rockettes Get Virtual Slap In The Face: Dance At Inauguration Or Get Fired (TWEETS/VIDEO)

Women across the nation received a virtual slap in the face this past election. As if being forced to call a self-professed sexual predator ‘president’ weren’t bad enough, the Radio City Rockettes have no choice but to dance for him.

Or else, to quote the future president himself, “You’re fired.”

After scrambling to find celebrities to perform at his inauguration, President-elect Donald Trump initially settled for a select few. Alec Baldwin and Kate McKinnon even poked fun at it on a recent Saturday Night Live skit.

McKinnon hands Baldwin a tiny piece of paper with the list of performers and he says:

“I love them both.”

His misogynistic ego must have been bruised, though. Between stars like Andrea Bocelli backing out and a concert with real celebrities slated to perform at the same time, Trump took to Twitter yet again.

Shortly after that tweet, The Madison Square Garden Company announced the Rockettes would be performing at the inauguration of Misogynist-in-Chief. The group of dancers later received an email threatening their jobs if they boycotted it, which said:

“Everyone is entitled to her own political beliefs, but there is no room for this in the workplace. If you are not full-time, you do not have to sign up to do this work. If you are full-time you are obligated.”

One of the Rockettes, Phoebe Pearl, took to Instagram to voice her justified anger over having to kick her legs up for a sexual predator by saying:

“Finding out that it has been decided for us that Rockettes will be performing at the Presidential inauguration makes me feel embarrassed and disappointed.”

Allegations of sexual assault, not to mention his sexist comments over the years, should have been enough to keep Trump out of office. Thousands of women have already begun organizing a massive protest on his inauguration day.

An online request is being spread across social media, listing ways to reach the producers of the show directly so fans can voice concern over this humiliating nightmare.

Update: According to a recent article on Mashable, full-time Rockettes are no longer being forced to perform at the inauguration.

The company claims it never told full-time Rockettes the job was mandatory. However, the letter from the union published in full, and their timing is interesting, as this change of heart occurred after social media outrage.

We are the majority, Trump, and there is power in numbers.
