Update On Obamacare: Most New Members Come From Red States (VIDEO)

Donald Trump has had a lot to say about the Affordable Care Act(ACA) and its plan to provide health insurance to every American.

He has called it a disaster. He’s claimed that millions of Americans are begging him to get rid of it.

He has promised to “repeal and replace” in his first 100 days.

The only problem for the Trumpster is that the country is on track for enrolling more people into the ACA than ever before.

So far this year, 6.4 million people have enrolled in the subsidized health insurance plan. That’s about 400,000 people more than were signed up by this time last year. The preliminary sign-up period ended on Dec. 19, but the final date is actually January 31.

Of course, this year there is a glitch in the sign-up plan. That’s because Donald Trump will become President a mere 11 days before the enrollment period ends. And he is promising to get rid of the whole program.

Interestingly enough, the administrators of the ACA report that it is in a bunch of red states where the greatest number of enrollees is found. The current numbers show that the highest numbers of enrollees were found in Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, and Georgia.

Trump won every one of those states.

So it is clear that people voted for Trump in a lot of states, but in spite of what he and his people claim, they didn’t vote that way because of Obamacare.

People need health insurance. They need to be able to get healthcare when they are sick or hurt.

In spite of what Donald Trump and the incoming administration want to tell us, millions of Americans are currently relying on “Obamacare” to get themselves that vital coverage. In spite of rising premiums, people need health insurance.

Without the ACA, they obviously feel that they won’t be able to get it.

So.

In the states where most people voted for Trump, there is a significant need for comprehensive health coverage. Remember that the ACA covers people who do not have health insurance through their employers.

These people; the ones who lack jobs, or lack adequate jobs and adequate benefits, are the very ones who can’t afford to have Donald Trump fulfill his campaign promise to “repeal and replace” the Affordable Care Act.

Now what are you going to do, Republicans?
