Trump Gets A Surprise Christmas Visit On ‘SNL’ (VIDEO)

On Saturday morning, Alec Baldwin gave a warning to Donald Trump–he was about to troll the president-elect on “Saturday Night Live” for the fifth time. Since Trump couldn’t be bothered to release his tax returns by Saturday night, the trolling went on as scheduled on Saturday night’s edition of ‘SNL.’

In case you didn’t stay up late to see it, watch here.

This is the last original ‘SNL’ episode before the gang goes on vacation for the next two weeks. It didn’t disappoint. Baldwin’s Trump whined to Kate McKinnon’s Kellyanne Conway about how he had to talk business so close to Christmas. They still had to fill out his cabinet, though. “Conway” noted that Rick Perry was about to be Secretary of Energy. “Trump” recalled that he’d made his pick after seeing Perry’s “unpresidented” performance on “Dancing with the Stars.”

“Trump” then moved on to the next item on the list–picking a president. Seems he only wants to do the job three days a week. In her capacity as “master of illusions” in the White House, “Conway” pulled out a list of scheduled performers at the inauguration–all two of them.

The business meeting was cut short when Cecily Strong’s Melania Trump wanted to get the real celebration going. Just as “Conway” left, who should come down the chimney but–Beck Bennett as Vladimir Putin. Apparently he and “Trump” have chatted a lot–but not in person, until now.

“Putin” scoffed at the talk that he had thrown the election to “Trump.” However, he was still overjoyed that this country had elected “the best candidate, the smartest candidate, the Manchurian candidate.” He then gave Trump a present–an elf on a shelf. “Trump” regretted he didn’t have a gift in return–but “Putin” told him that he himself was a gift, presumably to all of Russia.

“Melania” was a little skeptical–apparently she and “Putin” hadn’t met yet, or maybe it was visceral Slovenian mistrust of Russia. Either way, she thought “Putin” had to leave. Apparently “Trump” realized it might not be a good idea to be seen with “Putin”–but changed his mind just seconds later.

“Conway” then popped in to announce another guest had arrived–soon-to-be Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, played by John Goodman. “Rexy” and “Puti” then greeted each other like frat brothers. They had a lot to talk about–for instance, increasing oil production.

I expected to see an angry tweet from Trump within minutes of this clip airing, given his long beef with Trump and “SNL.” But apparently someone took away his phone, because he didn’t say a word on Twitter–or Facebook, for that matter. As I write this on Sunday morning, there’s still nothing from Trump. Perhaps he knows “SNL” has him busted.
