Tech Workers Just Gave Trump The Middle Finger, Vow To NEVER Help Him Surveil Muslims

President-elect and human petri dish, Donald Trump, spent a great deal of time in the 2016 Presidential Race flat-out making up lies about immigrants and Muslims to manipulate stupid and racist low-information voters.  Among one of his more frightening fascist policies–and clear-cut violation of the constitution–was proposing a data registry to track people of the Muslim faith. Reince Priebus, soon-to-be White House Chief of Staff, claimed that  Trump’s team is not planning to establish a Muslim registry, but that he would not rule anything out.

Well, tech workers decided that they’re NOT even going to give the Fourth Reich a chance to rule it out.

More than 600 employees representing Twitter and Google, two of the world’s largest tech companies, vowed to not assist the incoming Trump Administration in building a Muslim registry. In a powerful open letter, the tech workers explicitly called out Trump and promised to minimize the collection of data that could be used to target Muslims. An open letter posted at neveragain.tech states:

“We are choosing to stand in solidarity with Muslim Americans, immigrants, and all people whose lives and livelihoods are threatened by the incoming administration’s proposed data collection policies. We refuse to build a database of people based on their Constitutionally-protected religious beliefs. We refuse to facilitate mass deportations of people the government believes to be undesirable.”

Much like everyone else with more than two functioning brain cells, the tech employees fear that Lord Cheeto and his petty band of deplorables are taking a page out of Hitler’s book. Drawing comparisons to the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII, the tech workers attempted to highlight their fears of pulling an Eichmann and “just follow orders.”

The tech workers appear to be a blend of engineers, designers, and business executives from a variety of tech companies, including Palantir Technologies, the data-mining start-up and government contractor co-founded by Peter Thiel. This gives added weight to the letter since Thiel is a yet another billionaire crony pal of Trump. Worse yet, Thiel is advising the Trump transition team.

Kudos to the unsung and overlooked techies and their refusal to roll over and allow this sociopathic, screaming orange monster to easily do to the constitution what he has done to small businesses.
