Full-Page Ad Will Run In Trump-Won States Urging Electors To Do The Right Thing (VIDEO)

The Electoral College will choose the next President of the United States this Monday, December 19th. A man who created an online petition to honor the popular vote is now targeting Republican electors in crucial states.

Daniel Brezenoff has taken out a full-page newspaper advertisement asking members of the Electoral College to vote with their conscience. In other words, not for President-elect Donald Trump.

Trump’s campaign promoted violence and racism. It also unearthed a plethora of footage showing his misogynistic views, and has ignited several hate crimes. The Ku Klux Klan also officially supported him via their own newspaper.

In states won by Trump, newspapers like the Washington Post will run the ad that points out:

“He has threatened the freedom of speech by condoning violence at public events, and suggesting criminal penalties and even revocation of citizenship to punish political expression.”

Trump is notorious for lashing out against anyone who disagrees with him. He’s blocked Twitter users for the same reason and once said he wanted to physically assault a protestor at one of his rallies.

Just like Russia’s current president, Vladimir Putin, Trump wants to control the media. Republican electors reading the Philadelphia Times will be reminded of that in the ad which also says:

“He has threatened the freedom of press by vowing to revoke First Amendment protections for journalists.”

Along with several other newspapers, the Tampa Bay Times will run the same ad. Trump’s international business relations has been a valid concern over conflicted interest.

He tweeted about not doing deals while in his office, but he also confirmed that his children will help run the company. His daughter, Ivanka Trump, even sat it on his meeting with Japan’s Prime Minister. She’s been trying to sell her line of products in Japan.

The ad points out this conflict of interest, saying:

“He has entangled himself with foreign interests through his personal business dealings, and refused to provide records of his taxes, which could allay suspicions.”
