JUST IN: Stone Says Trump Was Toying With Romney On Sec. Of State Job To ‘Torture’ Him

Roger Stone is a political consultant known for working for a number of Republicans. He refers to himself as a “long-time but informal adviser” to President-elect Donald Trump. And today he said a rather interesting thing to say about Trump’s meetings with former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

Some in the media thought that Trump was seriously considering Romney for the Secretary of State position.

Now we know better. So why exactly did Donald Trump take the time to meet with him? Stone says:

“To toy with him. And given the history, that’s completely understandable. Mitt Romney crossed a line. He didn’t just oppose Trump, which is his democratic right, he called him a phony and a fraud. And a con man. And that’s not the kind of man you want as Secretary of State.”

Are you trying to say that Donald Trump is petty, vindictive, and unable to take any criticism with an open mind?

Because that’s what I heard.

While it’s unclear if Stone has any formal ties to the Trump team, he clearly has no problem doing a little brown-nosing on his own behalf. After all, he has a book coming out soon about the Presidential race. And his nickname is the “dirty trickster” for a reason.

He also took a little time in the same interview to rub it in. Again referring to Romney, he said:

“Well, you know Trump correctly said he was a choker and at the key moment in the campaign against Barack Obama he choked. Donald Trump is not a choker, in fact, he’s a scratch golfer. So in this particular case, Trump did what Romney couldn’t.”

Because running for President of the United States is exactly the same as shooting a round of golf. Sounds like Stone and Trump really are two peas in a pod.

Here’s the interview with Roger Stone. Be warned that the show is a notorious Trump platform.
