SHOCKER: Russia’s Head Of Foreign Affairs Thinks Trump’s Sec Of State Pick Is Awesome (Tweets)

Аleksei Pushkov is the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs. He is a close confidant of President Vladimir Putin. He shares Putin’s views on international relations.

That means that he is a big fan of Donald J. Trump. Like Mr. Trump, the Russian Foreign Minister uses Twitter to express his views on the complex political world of international relations.

Today Mr. Pushkov expressed his dismay at the American media for criticizing Trump’s involvement with the Russian government.

Witch-hunting. Russia bashing.  It’s clear that the Russian government is opposed to our media and our government questioning the motives of the Russians and the Russian connection to Mr. Trump.

As word has gotten out of Trump’s probable choice of Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State, the Russians are absolutely doing the happy dance. Both Democrats and Republicans in the U.S. Congress have expressed concerns about Tillerson’s business relations with Russia.

Tillerson is the CEO of Exxon Mobile. In his years at the helm of the oil company he has developed warm relations with the Russians. In fact, he was awarded the Order of Friendship from the Russian government. They really, really like him.

Tillerson’s ties to Russia, and his super friendly relations with Putin and his minions, have raised serious concerns in the American government. Both Democrats and Republicans have expressed opposition to the idea of Tillerson as our nation’s top diplomat.

But there are a few people who are absolutely delighted to think of Rex Tillerson at the top of the State Department.

One of those people is Aleksei Pushkov, Russia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. He tweeted his pleasure at the idea of Tillerson’s appointment this morning.

It says:

“The choice of Tillerson- a sensation. This businessman, the definition of a pragmatist, has extensive experience in working with Russia. Trump continues to amaze.”

So here we find ourselves, in a situation where our President-elect is about to nominate a man to the post of chief diplomat. That man is the CEO of a major oil company. He has absolutely no diplomatic experience.

What he does have is a warm and fuzzy relationship with our Russian adversaries.

As the word of Trump’s likely nomination leaks out, the government of the United States is alarmed.

But the government of Russia is just tickled pink.

That should tell you all you need to know about the nomination of Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State.
