Ken Ham Tells Muslim Reporter: ‘Muslims Are Going to Hell’ (VIDEO)

Attendance must be slipping at evangelical ringmaster Ken Ham’s Creation “Museum.” The famous young earth creationist is nothing if not media savvy. He has a penchant for generating controversy when he needs an injection of cash from his gullible fan base.

In a blog post on his website Answers in Genesis, Ham recalled his recent experience with a news crew who had traveled to rural Kentucky to interview him about his “museum.” Ham said:

“Recently, I was interviewed at the Creation Museum for about 45 minutes by a reporter with a TV network called Channel NewsAsia. The network has viewers in over 20 nations, including my native Australia. The reporter is actually from England and the producer and crew are from Singapore, where the TV network is based.”

Apparently the reporter from Channel NewsAsia rattled Ham. He took to his blog to lay some groundwork ahead of what we can only hope is a hilarious interview.  Ham wrote:

“The reporter’s aggressive questioning went far beyond our views of the book of Genesis and what we teach in our museum, which he had just toured with his film crew. He pressed me (and constantly interrupted my train of thought) on social issues like gay ‘marriage’ and abortion.”

To be fair, interrupting Ham’s “train of thought” is more like tipping over a toy than stopping a freight. But at this point the interview got…awkward. Ham said:

“As a Muslim, the reporter wanted to know if I believed he was going to hell. I answered by quoting Scripture and Jesus, who said, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’”

Oh Ken! I can only hope that the reporter quoted the Quran has his “proof” that it will in fact be Ken Ham who is going to hell. The two could then just simply end the interview by yelling “Bible” and “Quran” at each other until one of them got tired. Ken is always good for a laugh!

Shun the 'transcendent' and all who invite you to subordinate or annihilate yourself...Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity. Seek out argument and disputation for their own sake; the grave will supply plenty of time for silence...” - Christopher Hitchens
