Heartless Santorum Tells Dreamer To Leave His Country, Gets TORCHED On Social Media (VIDEO)

Why is it that conservatives, who love to say how much they cherish Christian values and compassion, always seem to be some of the biggest douchenozzles when it comes to caring about all people? Do they take classes in assholery, or are they born this way?

Last night during a CNN town hall entitled The Messy Truth, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum was asked by Elizabeth Vilchis, who was brought to the United States and is now a mechanical engineer, what she was supposed to do if President-elect decides to deport all of the “dreamers”–young people who have lived in the United States for most of their lives but are undocumented–and rescind executive actions made by President Obama which allow her to remain in the country:

“I stand to lose all the work that I’ve done if the administration decides to end DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. My career will come to an end if that program ends and I will also potentially be labelled for deportation, which means I am going to be removed from the communities that I’ve contributed to so much.”

Rather than showing compassion for Vilchis, Santorum replied:

“What most people in America feel is that you’ve been given a tremendous benefit by being here in this country. My final point is that you have the ability to go to any other country right now and apply those wares, and be successful, and reapply to come back to America.”

So she has to be deported, then try to gain admission to the United States again? That could take years, maybe even a decade or more, but of course Santorum cannot be bothered with such matters because he’s too busy being a hardass sack of human excrement.

Another member of the panel, GOP consultant Ana Navarro told Vilchis:

“First of all, this is your country. No matter what he says, no matter what anybody else says, this is your country.

“You’ve got to tell your story and change and affect public opinion, because your stories are beautiful. They’re the stories of the American dream.”

Within minutes, social media lit up with righteous criticism of Santorum:

Rick must be angling for a job as head of the Gestapo in the Trump Administration. A heartless asshole like him would fit right in.
