Michelle Obamas’ Last White House Christmas Is Amazing (PHOTOS/VIDEO)

The holidays have snuck up on us so quickly that I didn’t even realize how close to the festivities we actually were until I took a gander through some of the fabulous 2016 White House decorations with President Obama and his First Lady.

The events first started when First Lady Michelle Obama accepted her last White House Christmas tree with her nephews and the two official White House dogs.

The decorating didn’t take too long, and it was finally time for President Obama and his wife to welcome service men and women and their families into the White House for the 2016 Christmas decoration preview. As usual the White House decor paid tribute to our brave men and women who have served in the United States military, both past, and present.

The decor was gorgeous, and even Lego got in on the action by creating military, and First Family, inspired decor completely from the hands of their Master Builders. Flags adorned several rooms in honor of our fallen soldiers, and there definitely was no shortage of absolutely gorgeous Christmas trees.

Every hallway in the White House was decorated in some type of Christmas display from patriotic to enchanted and whimsical.

Flags can be found throughout the White House this holiday season including one made up of the faces of our proud military members and including gold star ornaments for those that have fallen in battle.

Michelle Obama’s holiday decorations wouldn’t be complete without a tribute to one of her most prized programs through the last eight years, Let Girls Learn.

Even the President’s Seal is decorated in holiday festiveness. I can just imagine as President Obama walks through that doorway into the Blue Room.

Every year the massive seventeen-foot tree is placed in the White House Blue Room and decorated to a particular theme. This year’s theme is We The People.

An Obama White House Christmas wouldn’t be complete without the First Dogs standing by to inspect the premises.

Regardless of who is in office the White House Christmas ceremony and tree lighting have always been a magical event. I will say, however, I think we may miss Michelle Obama’s gracious and classy Christmas event more than most. Happy Holidays and enjoy this video of President Obamas’ last tree lighting.
