When President-elect Donald Trump tweeted that he really won the popular vote, had it not been for illegal voters, most people just laughed. However there are apparently those who believe him and believe it.
Alisyn Camerota, a reporter for CNN was visibly dumbfounded when she heard these outlandish views from Trump supporters. The shocking statements came from a panel of Trump supporters.
Not only did they believe that as many as 3 million illegals in had California voted, but they also believed that President Obama had told illegals that they could vote.
During the interview, Alisyn continually asks the Trump supporters where they got this information from.
Paula Johnson, a Trump supporter stated:
“Voting is privilege in this country and you need to be legal, not like California where three million illegals voted.”
Camerota looking puzzled then asked:
“Where are you getting your information?”
Johnson replied:
“From the media! Some of them were CNN, I believe.”
Camerota then asked:
“Do you think that three million illegal people voted?”
Johnson answered with conviction:
“I believe in California that there were illegals that voted,”
“I think there was a good amount because the president told people that they could vote, They said, ‘The president said I could vote. I’m here illegally.’”
Camerota looking surprised, then attempted to clarify:
“Did you hear the president say illegal people could vote?”
To which the supporters exclaimed:
“Yes! Google it, you can find it on Facebook.”
Camerota asked again:
“You think that millions of illegal people voted in this country, you believe that there was widespread voting abuse?”
Johnson then claimed:
“California allows it,”
Camerota seemed beyond shocked by what she had been told, this caused her to slap her own face in disbelief.
We sure live in an age where information on the internet is manipulated to be what people want to hear and believe.
As Camerota explains, the video that the Trump supporters speak of, was an edited piece from Fox Business, where they tried to make it sound like Obama was saying illegals had a right to vote. He was really only saying Latino citizens could and should vote.
