WATCH: Vice President Pence Perfectly Put Down By New DC Neighbors

Vice President elect Mike Pence is proud to call himself a social conservative. He once said that he is “A Christian, a conservative and a Republican, in that order.”

For those of us who can read between the lines, that means that he is firmly against marriage equality, civil rights for gay and transgender people, and letting women make medical decisions about their own bodies.

Yup.

Pence is that guy.

The LGBTQ community is not a fan of the self-described protector of family values.

Pence opposes marriage equality because, he says,

“societal collapse was always brought about following an advent of the deterioration of marriage and family.”

(Of course, many of us believe that being married three times, cheating on your first wife with your second wife and lusting after your own daughter indicate the deterioration of marriage and family, but Pence wouldn’t agree.)

Pence meant that every time a woman marries a woman or a man marries a man, society begins to crumble. He doesn’t really care that there is no evidence to support that narrow minded view. He just sticks to it, as a good “Christian” and a staunch “conservative.”

A lot of people would like to smack the VP elect right in his smug holier-than-thou face, but we dislike the idea of spending the next 20 years in jail.

So Pence’s new neighbors have chosen a more tasteful, gentler way to tell him to stick his opinions where the sun don’t shine.

Pence will be renting a home in Northwest DC until January, when he move into the official Vice Presidential residence. His neighbors in that area have decided to welcome him to his new home by displaying rainbow flags on their homes. While not every home is decorated yet, most people in the neighborhood have expressed support for the effort.

One of his new neighbors told the local news:

“A respectful message showing, in my case, my disagreement with some of his thinking.”

Bam.

Take that, bigots and anti-gay phony Christians. Those who oppose you have chosen a sweet, beautiful, visual protest against your hateful beliefs.

They win. You lose.
