Fight It! Trump Is Going After Our Internet Freedoms (VIDEO)

President-elect Donald Trump has expressed interest in attacking our First Amendment freedoms. He has gone after the press and the “rigged” media before.

Now, he is after our internet freedoms. This isn’t the first time he has mentioned it, but it is still scary.

Trump’s new tech advisor, Matthew Jamison, said that he wants to limit the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) power. They will no longer be a consumer watchdog in a Trump administration.

Jamison said:

“Most of the original motivations for having an FCC have gone away. Telecommunications network providers and ISPs are rarely, if ever, monopolies.”

Tom Wheeler, the Democratic chairman of the FCC, disagrees with Jamison. Many places only have two choices for Internet Service Providers (ISP). Many ISPs have slowed down internet speeds for users on unlimited plans.

Some of them have instituted data caps for people. It’s ridiculous because using extra data doesn’t cost them extra money. People who play games or stream movies get unfairly charged under these particular types of plans.

Trump is clueless about cybersecurity as well. He said this about the DNC hack:

“As far as the cyber, I agree to parts of what Secretary Clinton said. We should be better than anybody else, and perhaps we’re not. I don’t think anybody knows that it was Russia that broke into the DNC. She’s saying Russia, Russia, Russia — I don’t, maybe it was. I mean, it could be Russia, but it could also be China. It could also be lots of other people. It also could be somebody sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pounds, okay?”

Trump obviously doesn’t really know anything about this issue. Early on in his campaign, Trump said he would like to “close the internet.” Somehow, he thinks that Bill Gates has the power to accomplish this.

Here is a video of his idiotic remarks about Bill Gates:
