WATCH: Lewandowski Says ‘I’m Seated’ After Student Asks How He Can ‘Stand’ And Defend A Bigot

Corey Lewandowski — former campaign manager to Donald Trump, former CNN contributor, and possibly the next chair of the RNC — sat in front of a group of Oxford University students to discuss President-elect Donald Trump’s agenda. These weren’t just any students, though. They were Oxford’s debating union.

‘So Little Self-Respect’

A young woman confronted Lewandowski, bringing up all the flip-flops we’ve seen from Trump in the short time since the election, before asking him:

“How do you have so little self-respect that you can stand here and defend a candidate who’s not only a bigot, but a liar who doesn’t have the courtesy to follow through?”

Lewandowski’s response was nothing short of jaw-dropping. First, he said:

Well, the good news is I’m seated doing that, so I don’t have to stand, so I appreciate that.”

He didn’t address the “bigot” and the “liar” part. No. He addressed the “stand” part.

“I’m seated while doing that,” with “that” being defending a “bigot” and a “liar.”

Just let that sink in for a moment. This is a man who was at one time intimately connected to the Trump campaign. He knows Trump well.

Lewandowski continued:

“But here’s what it comes down to: Mexico will pay for the wall, and it’s very simple.”

This statement was met with laughter from the students. One student shouted, “How?”

After the laughter died down, Lewandowski began talking about how Trump met with the Mexican president and the economic state of Mexico. But he never actually answered the young woman’s question:

“How do you have so little self-respect that you can stand here and defend a candidate who’s not only a bigot, but a liar who doesn’t have the courtesy to follow through?”

How indeed, sir?

Perhaps she hit a nerve.
