Want To Create A Database, Donnie? Two Can Play At That Game! (VIDEO)

President-elect Donald Trump talked a lot about Muslims and terrorism during his campaign. He proposed putting all of the Muslims in the United States in a special database. He said he wants to do it until we “figure out what’s going on.”

He said:

“There should be a lot of systems, beyond database, we should have a lot of systems, and today you can do it. But right now we have to have a border, we have to have strength, we have to have a wall. And we cannot let what’s happening to this country happen.”

Well, Donnie-boy, we’ve got a database for you. Muslims are not the only ones committing crimes. One woman in Brooklyn, Candace Thompson, posted this on Facebook:

“Forget the nation of Islam, our most immediate threat to domestic security is and always has been white, straight men. That is why I have decided to do my part as a Red Blooded Patriot by creating The White Male Registry. It is a simple google form complete with questions that will help identify just how much of a threat to American security any individual white male may pose to the general public.”

She is calling for white men to register by January 20.  She said that the comments  are half good and half bad. Some people had genuine responses; others had hateful comments.

Also, in the Facebook post, she called out Trump directly. She said:

“I am writing to inform you that I’ll be adding your name to the National White Men Registry I have just created. I’m trying to keep America safe from the ethnic group that, statistically speaking, poses the largest threat to national safety: white, straight, CIS-gendered [sic] men.”

Hopefully, this will point out just how ridiculous Trump’s suggestion is. We don’t need to put people in some kind of registry just based on their race, nationality, or religion. There have been terror attacks committed by white, Christian men as well. Republicans seem to ignore that. Don’t build the database, Donnie. We don’t need any more hate-mongering going on.

Here are the Young Turks talking about Trump’s Muslim database remarks last year:
