Megyn Kelly Compares Trump Attacks To Being ‘Dropped In A Shark Tank’ (VIDEO)

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly is opening up about covering the Presidential election, and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. During her coverage of the election, Kelly did her best to hold Donald Trump accountable for his hateful and misogynistic rhetoric, and was attacked ruthlessly by the candidate and his cronies as a result:

“I felt like a human being who had been dropped into a shark tank.”

Kelly first drew the wrath of Trump after the first GOP primary debate in August 2015, and from then on the attacks, threats, and hateful comments seemed endless. In an interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN on Wednesday night, Kelly even said that she and her employers were afraid for her safety:

“We had security guards the whole year… I mean, the threat level just got so high that it was impossible not to take that seriously.”

Kelly recalled many incidents of Trump attacking her on Twitter in her new book, Settle for More, but those aren’t the most disturbing encounters she had with the Trump campaign. When Fox News executive Bill Shine tried to contact one of Trump’s lawyers to stop the attacks on Kelly, the attorney was wholly uninterested. She called many of the tactics used by the Trump team and his supporters “questionable,” and even noted that during the primaries former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski:

“… Specifically threatened me if I showed up at the second debate hosted by Fox News.”

Trump himself did not attend that debate, which Kelly co-moderated along with a colleague. As for the numerous hateful Tweets and threatening words directed at her by the Trump camp, Kelly didn’t want to go public at the time:

“All I wanted to do last year was get myself out of the shark tank.”

Now, she’s spilling all the tea. Just more bad press for the President-elect and his abhorrent treatment of women, as if we needed another reminder.

You picked THAT as your President, America.
