Trump’s Deplorables Take Aim At Indian-American Pepsi CEO (VIDEO)

Over the past week threats and hateful words have become commonplace for the fervent supporters of President-elect Donald Trump. Many are afraid for their civil rights, their freedom of speech, and their safety. The CEO of Pepsi, Indra Nooyi, has seen and heard so many hateful and nasty things that she says her children and employees fear for the lives.

While speaking at the New York Times‘ Dealbook Conference, Nooyi was asked her opinion on the outcome of the election. She didn’t hold back:

“I had to answer a lot of questions from my daughters, from our employees. They were all in mourning. Our employees were all crying. The question that they are asking, especially those who are not white ‘Are we safe’, women are asking ‘Are we safe’, LGBT people are asking ‘Are we safe?'”

She also took special exception to the misogynist rhetoric that permeated the entirety of Trump’s campaign:

“Forget about the Pepsi brand. How dare you talk about women that way…”

She believes there is no place for such language:

“… Not in locker rooms, not in football players’ homes, not in any place. If we don’t nip this in the bud it is going to be a lethal force in society.”

Nooyi ended her comments by emphasizing that America must remain a respectful and united country, lest we disrespect our democracy and all the hard work of those that came before us:

“The process of democracy happened, we just have to let life go on. We have to come together and life has to go on.”

Despite the call for peace and unity, the Trump deplorables immediately sprang to their keyboards to send unnecessary and hateful messages directed as Ms. Nooyi.

A small piece of advice, Trump supporters. If you want to stop being called “deplorables,” then stop acting like it.
