See Who Is Celebrating Today And Weep For America (TWEETS)

I know that a lot of people are celebrating after last night’s presidential election.

Some of them are even in my own family or social circle. I hear them congratulating themselves on sending a “message” to Washington. They are elated that they have managed to poke a finger in the eye of the political elite.

While I understand the euphoria of puling off a complete upset, I think they are missing something here.

What they are missing is that they aren’t the only once who are excited about this presidential election.

They are joined by some people who are so disgusting and heinous that only a country as open and forgiving as ours would still allow them to walk the streets.

Take David Duke, for example.

The long time leader of the KKK was tweeting in the middle of the night after Trump was announced the winner.

Just in case you have forgotten the KuKluxKlan was created to fight against the freeing of the slaves. They were responsible for lynching innocent Black Americans, for burning crosses on the lawns of those who supported equal rights for African Americas, and for promoting the concept of white supremacy.

They’ve spent 150 years opposing equal rights for all Americans.

In case you think that David Duke, the former “Grand Wizard” of the Klan, has changed his ways, look at some of what he tweeted last night. Read the words, look at the images.

David Duke is a violent racist who proclaims his love for Donald Trump.

So if you or someone you know woke up this morning full of self-congratulations, please think about who else is on Trump’s “team.” Think about who else is dancing in the streets on this day after the presidential election.

And ask yourself how comfortable you’re going to be with people like David Duke in the Cabinet or, God forbid, on the U.S. Supreme Court.
