WATCH: Sexist John Sununu Mocks Hillary Clinton At Trump Rally – Then It Gets Even Worse

Republican John Sununu threw a particularly low blow at a Donald Trump campaign rally on Friday. He cracked a joke about what he perceives as Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s lack of sex appeal.

The 77-year-old former Governor of New Hampshire said:

Do you think Bill was referring Hillary when he said, ‘I did not have sex with that woman?'”

He continued to chuckle at his misogynist joke for several seconds.

The crowd at the New Hampshire country club clearly picked up on the ugly tone. When he named Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) “not quite self-avowed socialist,” they began to shout “Pocahontas!” with war whoops.

“Pocahontas” is the derogatory nickname that Donald Trump uses for Senator Warren, because she has a Native American heritage.

Referring to Hillary Clinton, the crowd later began chanting

Lock her up!”

Trump’s remarks further stoked the volatility.  He called Hillary Clinton an unstable person and also mentioned Sid Miller, the Texas Agriculture Commissioner who called the Democratic presidential candidate a “c—” in a now-deleted tweet this week.

It’s remarkable that John Sununu spoke at a Trump rally in the first place.

In January 2016, he published an op-ed in the New Hampshire Union-Leader comparing Trump’s popularity with that of Guyana cult leader Jim Jones, whose followers drank cyanide-laced Kool-Aid.

In that piece, Sununu named multiple concerns about Trump, including his willingness to let Vladimir Putin control Middle East policy and his flip-flops on border security, foreign policy, deportation, wages, terrorism, and nuclear arms.

Sununu wrote in that op-ed that:

Trump is clearly a man with no philosophy, no plan, no experience, and no understanding.

All those concerns miraculously vanished by late September when he endorsed Donald Trump.

Why did he change his mind? Sununu said on Friday that:

“Hillary Clinton makes it damn easy for me to support Donald Trump,”

John Sununu is a longtime Washington insider who was asked to resign from his position as Chief of Staff under George Bush Sr. in 1991.

He’s made it clear that even in 2016, female candidates will be mocked if the old men don’t think they’re sexy enough.
