There have been so many awful and awkward moments in Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s campaign. This video of him holding a baby like a human shield, though, is one for the ages.
Trump: ‘Oh Look, A Future Construction Worker’
Trump descended from the stage at a rally in Tampa, Florida, to take a baby from his parents (presumably with their permission). He then walked back up on the stage and kissed the child a few times before holding him out like a human shield a la Martin Sheen in The Dead Zone and proclaiming:
“Future construction worker!”
Trump could not look more awkward and uncomfortable holding this child. And the baby? Well, he definitely made his feelings known, crying through the whole thing.
And what were these parents thinking? I wouldn’t allow any candidate to bring my baby on stage with them, let alone a man with multiple accusations of sexual assault.
