‘Up-And-Coming’ Conservative News Network Puts Out Casting Call — Trump TV?

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump says he has no interest in starting a conservative media company, regardless of the outcome of the election. However, someone is gearing up for the new venture.

Fox News received a casting notice on Wednesday, searching for hosts, reporters, and panelists for an:

“… Up-and-coming conservative media network currently in development.”

The casting notice shares the following details about what qualities applicants should have:

“… Must be knowledgeable about conservative viewpoints, current events and the presidential election… look upscale and intelligent… outspoken and energetic.”

Trump has stated on multiple occasions that he has no desire to start a media company. Considering Trump’s history with telling the truth, however, we will just have to wait and see.

There have already been a few indicators that a “Trump TV” media empire is in the cards after the election is over. Vanity Fair first reported in June that it was being considered in some level throughout Trump’s campaign. In September, Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner was reportedly looking into a starting a media company in order to capitalize on the growing support around Trump.

There is no indication that this casting call is related in any way to Trump or Kushner. Obviously, there is a huge audience for the type of media company indicated by the casting call. Whether or not it stems from somewhere in Trump’s actual campaign remains to be seen.

The call is for November 7th, the day before election day. It suggests that, at least at first, videos will stream on the internet, rather than a traditional TV network.

Although the Trump campaign has yet to comment on the casting call, Trump spoke to the Washington Post in September and claimed:

“I want to win the presidency and I want to make America great again. It’s very simple. I have no interest in a media company.”

It seems as the Trump movement is here to stay, even if he is unable to win the presidency. There looks to be high demand for conservative media outlets. Watch Keith Olbermann break down just what Trump TV might entail below:
