White Nationalist Trump Supporter Calls McMullin A ‘Closet Homosexual’ In Robocall (AUDIO)

Trump supporters are nothing if they’re not racist, homophobic assholes. In Utah, third party candidate Evan McMullin has Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on his toes, with McMullin just a few points behind. A Trump supporter in the state decided to respond with a disgusting robocall.

Robocall: McMullin ‘Is A Closet Homosexual’

Conservative Independent presidential candidate Evan McMullin is polling just a few points behind Trump in Utah in a shocking race that could see a third party candidate actually win the state’s six electoral college votes. According to the Washington Post:

“In the latest Salt Lake Tribune-Hinckley Institute poll, conducted Oct. 20 to 27, Trump had a slight lead, at 32 percent, with McMullin close behind, at 30 percent (within the margin of error of 3.42 percentage points) and with Hillary Clinton a distant third, at 24 percent.”

It’s been nearly 100 years since a candidate has won a single state on a protest vote, says Aaron Blake of the Washington Post.

Of course, Trump supporters aren’t going to let their idol go down without a fight.

William Johnson, a rabid Trump supporter and self-proclaimed White Nationalist, is sending out a robocall to the conservative voters in Utah. In the call, he claims McMullin is a “closet homosexual” and even attacks McMullin’s mother (who is married to a woman).

The man behind these calls is rather well-known in the white supremacist community, reports the Deseret News Utah:

“Johnson is a California lawyer who has been active in U.S. white supremacy circles for more than three decades. He has unsuccessfully run for public office as a member of various political parties and as an independent.”

Johnson was initially named as a delegate to the Republican National Convention. However:

“Trump campaign officials blamed his inclusion as a national GOP delegate on a ‘database error.’ Johnson resigned as a delegate.”

McMullin’s sexuality (or that of any candidate) shouldn’t matter in the slightest, of course. Still, the candidate denied Johnson’s claim.

I’m not going to pretend for a hot second that I support McMullin for president or agree with him on just about anything, but this robocall is just bonkers.

The Trump campaign quickly denounced the robocall, with spokesperson Hope Hicks telling CNN:

“We strongly condemn this rhetoric and these activities of which we have no knowledge.”

The full text of the robocall is below, followed by the audio:

“Hello. My name is William Johnson. I’m a farmer and a white nationalist. I make this call against Evan McMullin and in support of Donald Trump. Evan McMullin is an open-borders-amnesty supporter.

Evan has two mommies. His mother is a lesbian married to another woman. Evan is okay with that. Indeed, Evan supports the Supreme Court ruling legalizing gay marriage. Evan is over 40 years old and is not married and doesn’t even have a girlfriend. I believe Evan is a closet homosexual. Don’t vote for Evan McMullin. Vote for Donald Trump. He will respect all women and be a president we can all be proud of.

I paid for this ad for the American National super PAC.”
