Perhaps you were wondering if the realization by the Trump campaign and its surrogates that they are headed for a historic loss is causing any stress. If so, we got our answer last night on The Kelly File when Newt Gingrich had a meltdown and told Megyn Kelly she was obsessed with sex.
It all started when Kelly wondered how it felt for Gingrich to be supporting a “sexual predator.” Gingrich got all huffy and told Kelly:
“I’m sick and tired of people like you using language that’s inflammatory that’s not true! When you use the words, you took a position. And I think it’s very unfair of you to do that, Megyn!”
Kelly’s reply to Gingrich proved that she knows how to handle combative dillholes:
“Your defensiveness on this may speak volumes.”
That’s when the former Speaker of the House went full deplorable and told the host:
“You wanna go back through the tapes of your show recently? You are fascinated with sex and you don’t care about public policy! That’s what I get out of watching you tonight!”
But Kelly shut whiny little Newt down and ended the interview with this brilliant dart of truth:
“You can take your anger issues and spend some time working on them.”
Game, set, and match to Megyn Kelly. Seems like in the last two weeks of the race for the White House, all of the Trumpkins are more testy than usual. It’s probably because they know they’re on a sinking ship and that all their dreams of cabinet positions are now nothing more than fading fantasies. What else is there for second-rate, washed up losers like Newt Gingrich and Chris Christie? They’re at the end of their pathetic careers; they are becoming totally irrelevant. They thought there was more for them; there has to be! But as F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote about the once powerful:
“There are no second acts in American lives.”
