Next time you’re in Hollywood and strolling down the Hollywood Walk of Fame, don’t be surprised if one of the stars stands out more than the others. Not because it’s more dazzling than its neighbors, but because it’s pretty much non-existent.
Wednesday morning at about 5:45 A.M. a man dressed like a construction worker showed up at the Dolby Theatre and proceeded to attack Donald Trump’s star with a sledgehammer and pick-axe. Here’s what remains:
The man who obliterated the Trump star has been identified as James Otis. Otis said he had originally planned to dislodge the star and sell in New York as a way to raise money for the legal expenses of women who have accused the 2016 GOP nominee of sexual assault.
Others have tried to petition the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove the star honoring Trump’s television work on the Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice. But the Chamber has adamantly refused to bow to that pressure, even after Trump has insulted nearly every minority group in the country.
Thanks to James Otis, we no longer have to bother with petitions or protests. Now if only it was that easy to get rid of the real Donald Trump.
