Jim Moseley, a 59-year old retired salesman from Greenville, South Carolina has been buying extra ammunition and canned goods to prepare for what he is hoping is a second Civil War. He joins a small yet particularly unglued group of deplorables who are pining for violence as the outcome of this year’s presidential campaign becomes more and more certain in favor of Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton.
A self-described “Christian warrior’ whatever that is, Moseley is also a racist.
When reached for comment earlier this week on a story about Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s sinister campaign rhetoric about rigged elections and fraud, the Rambo wannabe told the Toronto Star that:
“Liberals will have targets on their backs, as their behaviors are pretty much evident. Race wars will begin as well, as your skin color will be your uniform!”
Good grief, your skin will be your uniform? Is there something in the drinking water over in South Carolina that is affecting people’s brains?
According to the report, Moseley is also using his Facebook page to drop helpful hints for his other RWNJ friends who are salivating over the prospect of violence:
“Once the trucks stop rolling, the grocery store shelves will go empty, and the gasoline rationing will go in to effect.”
Greenville is only a few hours’ drive from Atlanta, Georgia, so perhaps Moseley will join forces with the couple from Lawrenceville, Georgia who just last month told NPR that “patriots are going to overthrow the government?”
I’m sure these looneys have been around in every campaign and it’s just the fact that they each have access to global audiences by way of the internet that we’re really just now hearing about them with any degree of frequency.
Violence has no place in our democratic process so shame on Donald Trump for fomenting it. Now let us all, the rational among us, laugh this weirdo and his ilk back under their respective racist rocks.
