The Hate Mail That SHUT DOWN Clinton Campaign’s Brooklyn HQ (VIDEO)

It was reported that on Friday October 21, at around 5.30 p.m., EST that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, was evacuated. Apparently, an envelope with white powder and writing caused a scare, and the subsequent evacuation of the entire eleventh floor.

Two interns discovered the white powder and four people in total came into contact with it. According to the report, no one became ill, or had to be hospitalized as a result of the substance.

Hillary Clinton was not in the building at the time of the drama, as she was campaigning in Cleveland, which is in the very important swing state of Ohio. Although ahead in the polls, these last few weeks are vital to her campaign. Clinton was greeted by a cheering crowd in Cleveland when she mentioned the final debate, and happily declared:

“…That was the third and last time that I will have to debate Donald Trump”

Also, by spending four and a half hours on stage with Donald Trump alone should prove that she has the stamina it takes to be the President of the United States.

In what has been a particularly nasty presidential campaign, this latest threat to Hillary Clinton’s HQ in Brooklyn comes as another horrible reminder of the hate and threats of violence that exist in our society.

There have been a number of violent threats from Trump and his supporters throughout this campaign season.

From Trump making dangerous references to the second amendment, to supporters hanging nooses out the front of their homes, nothing threatens democracy more than hints of violence toward a candidate.

These final few weeks leading up to the 2016 election are sure to bring even more drama. All we can hope is that democracy will be allowed to function and a peaceful transition of power ensues.

When something like this happens, getting hate mail that is obviously meant as a threat, the right thing to do is for both parties to call for a peaceful path to November 8. The last thing we need is violence.
