Texas GOP Congressman: ‘A Lady Needs To Be Told When She’s Being Nasty’ (AUDIO)

A GOP Congressman has doubled-down on Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s “nasty woman” comment in a radio interview, proving, once again, that the party is full of sexist jerks.

GOP Congressman: ‘Sometimes A Lady Needs To Be Told When She’s Being Nasty’

In an appearance on Alan Colmes’ radio show, Representative Brian Babin (R-Texas) was discussing the debate with the host, and the discussion turned to Trump’s “nasty woman” comment. Colmes asked Babin if he thought that comment was appropriate. Babin called himself a “genteel Southerner.” That prompted Colmes to say:

“So that means no?”

Babin then said:

“Uh, no, sometimes I think a lady needs to be told when she’s being nasty.”

I’ll give you a minute to let that sink in.

An elected official said that. On the air. In 2016.

If you harbor any delusions in your head that the GOP thinks women are equal to men, they should be dispelled now. Sure, there may be individual Republicans here and there who aren’t sexist cretins but, as a whole, the party is full of backwards jackasses like this.

Babin also said he thought Trump won the debate (which is laughable).

Women Respond By Embracing #NastyWoman

Almost as soon as that comment left Trump’s piehole, women (and some men) responded in earnest on Twitter, turning his jab at Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton into a rallying cry.

You tell him, Twitter!

And, perhaps the best one of all:

We’re almost there, folks. Vote on November 8.
