CNN’s Van Jones On Trump: ‘You Can’t Polish This Turd’ (VIDEO)

Last night we watched the presidential nominees face off in the final debate. We were all disgusted to hear Republican presidential nominee Trump say that he might not accept the results of the election.

When asked about accepting the results, Trump said:

“I will look at it at the time. I’ll keep you in suspense.”

Trump has been saying for months that the election is rigged and the polls are rigged and everything else is rigged. Just yesterday, he told an entire rally that he doesn’t believe in the polls anymore.

Now, he is saying that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) helped Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton cheat in the debate, although there is no evidence to support his claim. Trump has said:

“In addition, it was just learned that Hillary Clinton was given the exact questions to a previous debate, word for word, by Donna Brazile.”

After the debate was over, CNN commentator Van Jones had some extremely harsh words for the candidate:

“This is a very sad night for the country. You can’t polish this turd. I’m sorry.”

Anderson Cooper tried to lighten the mood, saying that technically it’s not possible to polish any turd. Some of the members of the political panel laughed,  but Jones was obviously angry and upset. He said that Trump demonstrated an “appalling lack of patriotism.”

Jones referenced the election of 2000 where Democrat Al Gore immediately told his people to respect the Supreme Court’s decision when it was announced that he had lost. Gore graciously conceded, guaranteeing a smooth transition of power.

Jones continued with the rant against the Trumpkin:

“What you just got now was the nominee of a major party, for the first time in our history, signaling to the American people that he has so little faith in our institutions … that he will not stand in front of his own country, in front of his own nation, and say that he respects the process and the outcome. That is an outrage!”

Van Jones is certainly not alone in his anger at hearing Trump’s appalling and frightening words.
