Get Your Tinfoil Hats Ready! Matt Drudge Has A New Conspiracy Theory For Us (TWEETS/VIDEO)

Matt Drudge, the author for the conservative news outlet, The Drudge Report, thinks that Hurricane Matthew is some kind of government conspiracy.

He tweeted some pretty idiotic things about it today. One example:

“The deplorables are starting to wonder if govt has been lying to them about Hurricane Matthew intensity to make an exaggerated point on climate.”

Then, he continued on the crazy tirade:

He wrote:

“Hurricane Center has monopoly on data. No way of verifying claims. Nassau ground observations DID NOT match statements! 165mph gusts? WHERE?”

Early Friday morning, Drudge tweeted this along with an unflattering shot of Hillary Clinton with her hair swept up by the wind, which has since been removed:

“Don’t Blame Mother Nature. Blame Mankind…”

Drudge is getting a lot of backlash because of this. Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison said:

“So irresponsible. If you are in the path of Hurricane Matthew, do not listen to this man! Stay safe!”

Other people tweeted:

Someone else tweeted:

“Spreading such a conspiracy is reckless. There are those who may now choose not to evacuate when ordered. Lives are at stake.”

This is not the only Republican hurricane-centered craziness going on. Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh said that Hurrican Matthew was a government conspiracy.

He said:

“It’s in the interest of the left to have destructive hurricanes because then they can blame it on climate change, which they can desperately continue trying to sell.”

The Republican Governor of Florida, Rick Scott, has refused to extend the voter registration deadline because of the hurricane.

He said:

“Everybody has had a lot of time to register. On top of that, we’ve got lots of opportunities to vote: Early voting, absentee voting and Election Day. So, I don’t intend to make any changes.”

The Hillary Clinton campaign is threatening to sue, so everyone who was planning on registering the last couple of days still can.

The threat of the hurricane is real. Everyone stay safe. Check out this (previously recorded) live coverage of Hurricane Matthew:
