He Thought They Were His Friends – Until They Set Him On Fire (VIDEO)

A 10-year-old child is on life support after some of his classmates set him on fire. His organs are failing, and he has been put in a medically-induced coma.

Kayden Culp of Kerrville, Texas has burns over 20 percent of his body. They are spread out from his belly button up to his face. The family set up a crowdfund account for Kayden. So far they have raised over six times their $10,000 goal.

An unnamed child has been charged with arson. Three boys ages 9, 10, and 11 were taken into custody following the incident. The victim is autistic and has trouble speaking and hearing. The family believes he was intentionally targeted.

Kayden’s aunt, Kelly Mack, said:

“The other kids are saying that he was going to be riding his bike like he always is, my nephew Kayden is going to be riding his bike, and they said we’re going to grab him and take him inside and burn him.”

She also said:

“If it wasn’t premeditated, it still is attempted murder.”

His mother, Tristyn Hatchett, said:

“I need the police to arrest the … boys involved with the pre-meditated attempted murder of my 10 yr old son Kayden Culp!”

“There’s no reason they should not already be incarcerated. The other boys who were there [have] been telling kids at school that it was not an accident, that it was intentional.”

She believes that the boys were playing when they pour gasoline on Kayden and set him on fire. The fire marshals are investigating.

They believe that it was an accident. Fire Marshal Chris Lee said that a shed on the lot had already been burned. Lee believes that pouring gasoline on it caused a flash fire which spread to Kayden. They are not sure if the boys will receive any additional charges.

Hopefully, Kayden will pull through this soon.
