NRA Desperate To Buy The Senate, Plays Into Women’s Fears (VIDEO)

Some people worry about the impact of the NRA on American politics. Some people worry that the pro-gun group has been able to control the political debate in our country.

Some of us are right.

RawStory reports that in addition to the many millions of dollars that the NRA has poured into the campaign for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, they have also poured millions into keeping the Senate in the hands of Republicans.

The gun nuts seem to think that it would be worth their while to keep the Republicans in office. Golly, gee. I wonder why?

All I know is that the ammosexual gun lobbyists have spent more on the Republican candidates this time around than the Koch Brothers have spent. That is a lot of money, folks. A lot.

What’s most interesting here is that public opinion seems to be firmly in favor of some type of logical gun control. There is bipartisan support for increasing background checks.

The NRA has been very very good at ignoring public opinion, though, and has thrown its considerable weight….I mean considerable money….behind pro-Republican positions.

Now the big money group is pouring 6.5 million dollars into an ad campaign featuring a young woman named Kristi McMains. They are using the ad to influence the outcome of many Senate races. The NRA would like it very much for the Republican Party to control the Senate.

Gee, I wonder why?

In the featured ad, the woman claims that it was her gun that saved her life when she was attacked in a parking garage. She tells the viewer that:

“Donald Trump supports my right to own a gun.”

Yuh, huh. He does.

He also supports the right of thousands of mentally unstable men to buy guns that they can use against you, Ms. McMains.

What are you not understanding about the belief in background checks? What is that you don’t support when Hillary Clinton says that she wants to deny guns to people who are deemed too dangerous to fly on U. S. aircraft?

What is it that you fail to grasp about the fact that one industry, one multi-billion dollar industry, wants to impact the upcoming elections in the United States Senate?

Can you say ‘Special interests’, Ms. McMains?

I know I can.
