Thanksgiving might be weird this year at the Giuliani house. As Rudy Giuliani makes the rounds of the news programs stumping for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, his daughter has taken to social media to let the world know she’s backing Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Political discord within families is, of course, not uncommon. Yours truly has been a participant in many a political row with family in the past. However, these differences are amplified when a family member is not only a public figure, but a politically public figure. And Caroline Giuliani’s dad has been in the news a LOT lately!
This is also not the first time that Caroline Giuliani has disagreed with her famous father. According to CNN:
“In 2007, she was a part of a Facebook group that supported then-Illinois Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential bid — and after Slate emailed her about it, she immediately left the group.”
This time, however, it seems as though Ms. Giuliani is going to remain very public with her stance.

Declines To Comment On Her Father’s Support For Trump
Politico reached out to Caroline to check the validity of the page and reported:
“Reached at her Los Angeles office, Caroline Giuliani confirmed the page was hers. ‘I love Hillary, I think she’s by far the most qualified candidate that we’ve had in a long while,’ she told POLITICO. ‘My dad knows. I was for Barack in 2012. He knows and is fully comfortable with it and thinks I have a right to my opinion.’ She declined to comment about her father’s support for Trump.”
It can’t be easy for Caroline to see her father out there banging the drum for Trump, especially given some of the gaffes he’s made on the trail. Though plenty of us have political differences with our parents, at least most of us get to keep those disagreements private!
